Things are going well here in Seattle. Three more development accelerators will graduate students this week after project demos, bringing our total number of 8-week intensive program graduates to over 200! In addition, over 100 students will complete our 4-week Foundations I: Computer Science & Web Development night class at the end of June.
However, as we continue to improve and evolve our programs in Seattle, we are also turning our attention toward geographic expansion. We want to help more students in more locations accelerate their careers, and we also want to help companies in those locations hire talented software developers.
A couple of months ago, we asked you where we should expand to next, and we were humbled and honored by all of your responses and enthusiasm. We have been meeting with companies, instructors, and leaders within the tech communities of a handful of cities, and one of our co-founders and current CTO (Will Little) has relocated to Chicago. We’re currently in the process of obtaining licensing in these locations, but the next thing we need is you!
The key to our success in any new location is finding talented entrepreneurs and instructors.
If you are (or know anyone who is) interested in joining the Code Fellows team in any of the below cities, we would love to talk to you! Specifically, we are looking for JavaScript specialists and other core team members who can help us find partner companies, run logistics, and facilitate fantastic student experiences.
Here are our front-running locations (in no particular order):
-
Portland, OR
-
New York, NY
-
Chicago, IL
-
Kansas City, MO
-
Detroit, MI
-
Jacksonville, FL
Send your resume and 2-3 sentences that summarize why you want to work with Code Fellows to jobs@codefellows.org.
